Oldenburg, Germany, 16 November 2004

In Oldenburg we looked for structures that could in themselves serve as representative monuments. We found a canal traffic control booth, an old gas station with a round roof and a barge which could serve as a potential parking space for the car. The process reminded us of something Claes once said:

"I make my work out of my everyday experiences,
which I find as perplexing and extraordinary as can be."
