| It took us five months before we finally reached Italy. We were looking forward to some nice warm weather on the sunny side of Europe, but awoke with 20 cm of snow on the roof in the small town of Magenta outside Milan. The raging blizzard had caught us off guard. After the initial claustrophobic feeling of being stuck had left us, we made a trip around the neighborhood to find out where we were.
